We drove through Chelsea the other day and saw a street full of magnolia trees in full bloom! I felt slightly obligated for a few photos, such a blogger that I am. I had to what's app my mom a picture of the flowers as I NEED these in my garden! Clearly I'm still getting used to living in a country where magnolias and palm trees have a chance of surviving winter.

I love magnolia trees. The only problem with them is that whenever it rains, the petals fall off and they make a giant mess. In the Pacific Northwest you only get to enjoy their blooms for a few weeks before all the flowers are off the tree and on the street.
